Cookies
This site uses cookies to count visits. Where you are decides which of two things happens, and the site works it out from your browser’s time zone rather than by looking your address up anywhere. In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland nothing is set until you say yes. Everywhere else the counting is on and the button below switches it off.
The analytics cookies
We load Google Analytics, which may set _ga and _ga_<id> — two cookies, lasting two years, that count visits and tell one browser from another. They do not tell us who you are, and they are not used to advertise to you.
Your application
Applying sets no cookie at all. There is no account and no login here — the link we email you is what identifies your application, which is why it is personal to you and why it should not be forwarded.
Your answer to the cookie notice is kept in your browser’s local storage rather than in a cookie. It never leaves your machine.
Changing your mind
Saying no deletes the cookies above straight away. This button forgets your answer entirely: where the notice applies it comes back and nothing is set until you answer, and elsewhere the site returns to counting visits.
